Christmas is coming and I wonder if parents think of the dangers to both their child and other people if they buy one of these scooters. Twice recently I have had to move very quickly out of the way of youngsters riding these on the pavements. They can get up to quite a speed and less agile youngsters or the elderly could be hurt if they can't get out of the way to say nothing of the rider themselves if they fall.

Do you mean the motorized ones?
It's illegal to ride them on the road, You can't ride motorized vehicles on the pavement unless it's for disability, they don't work on grass...where are you supposed to ride them?
Only use I've seen them put to is playing chicken with other road users...at night...no lights! :stop:

No lights, no helmet, no road license, no consideration for other road users, no signals, no road sense, no brains.

I want one! :D
