More help needed

I've got two computers networked,this one the host is fine,but the other one is so slow it never gets there,done all scans but can't find out why.It also,i think is showing two adapters?.Its really p***ing me off because i have no idea why.

is it wireless? if it is maybe you are too far away from the box?

OK, how are they networked?

Do you have a network card in each or are you using USB?
Do you have a hub/router etc?

When you say it's slow, what spec is it? processor speed/RAm etc & what is the spec of the PC that you are comparing it with?

Have you done any housekeeping on it in the last 12 months?
Cleaning out internet chaches, temp folders etc?

What is it running in the background?

Contact your ISP (INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER) for technical support,has this occured all of a sudden or has it always been like that since you networked?

Sounds like your first computer is taking all your internet speed from the second computer.Check technical support........if you are on a cable modem they may be able to test it for you,i know ntl can do that,but i dont know who you are with so cant help much more without more info.

Technical support won't help you, they are only concerned with the network side.
Your home network is your problem.

If you can answer the questions I asked above then we might be able to say more.
