Hey Jaseyboy,
If you have an Xbox and are looking for a GT4 type game, you should try Forza Motorsport. I have no idea what the price is over there (I'm in New Zealand) but I'm sure its well worth the time you'll spend on it... if you are really keen on racing games that is :)

Theres lots of variety (not quite as much as GT4), couple of hundred cars, lots of upgrades and you can pretty much do anything with logo's & paint to your cars.

Do the video shops rent xbox games over there? Maybe check the video store and rent it before looking in the shops

its a good game. iv played a demo of it. might as well buy it. saw it in game sataion the other day for £10.

I've heard Forza is a good game, and in some respects, better than GT4. Thankfully I don't have an Xbox, otherwise I'd find it hard to resist buying yet another racing game lol. I'm still enjoying GT4 though, just completed 75%, won an online photomode competition 2 weeks on the trot! You don't win anything - just get to pick the next subject matter - so I've not been able to enter for the last 2 weeks either.
My favourite part of the game is collecting the older 60's - 80's cars and tuning them up to beat their modern counterparts for maximum A - Spec points.
Just waiting for the price of the fancy feedback steering wheel to come down - a lot! Then I can do the whole lot over again!!
