Default Quoting peoples posts

I wonder if someone who knows could help; sometimes when I've wanted to quote what someone else has had to say, I might want to quote a particular paragraph if they are numerous, or a specific sentence, how do I go about doing that, rather then quoting the whole post?

Well James, I am definitely no expert, but I always press the quote button and just delete the bits I don't want .. leaving the quote bracket thingy at the beginning and end... other people do it differently (probably that 'copy and pasty' stuff) but I find this the easiest.

The worst to me is putting two separate quotes from different posts in one post ..LOL. We had fun one night on Accyweb trying to do this:-

Two separate quotes in one post. - Accrington Web

Hope Neal doesn't mind me putting this link in.

Willow is the expert. She'll no doubt be around to help soon.

I think I've got it, Cheers Kate, thank you for the link back to the other site, I must be daft, as I never considered looking on the other site, esp as I'm on there often enough! will come back later and to experiment some more.

Cheers.

Thank you for those kind words katex. I see that you've mastered the technique now though James.

I can tell you how to evade the auto censors if you want to swear too but I got in bother on AccyWeb for doing that

Just wait till you get your tags in a twist when you're multiple quoting. That will then throw subsequent posts with quotes all out of synch and lead to even more confusion.
