Default BROADBAND ISP's

If you're a broadband user who is your ISP and are you happy with it? Is your connection capped or can you have unlimited downloads?

The best ISP by far has to be AOL. It has a superb interface, unlimited downloads and has a wide range of speeds available. For prices have a look at http://www.aol.co.uk/broadband/cost.html?promo=228937 I have tried many ISP's and AOL has been the most reliable and easy to use. Hope this helps, BC

I'm with NTL on the 750K service, this costs £24.99 per month,I find this ok but the email service is too slow to get into most of the day, that i get all my email redirected to my yahoo email address, and then go and delete all my messages at ntl 3-4 times a week.No download limits, which is good for me.

I'm on tiscali 1mb and it's uncapped, only £24.99 and can't fault it. No problems at all. (Touch wood!).

actually Neal...ALL the tiscali packages ARE capped. Under the fair usage policy you are alloted 30gb over a 30 day period which tiscali allow each customer 1gb per day unless you "abuse" it. They then slow your connection "capped" or cut you off OR cancel your contract. You obviously dont overuse your connection so it probably suits you . I find it disgusting that they can do that when you sign up for unlimited!!
If you dont believe me read all the smallprint in the new terms and conditions on tiscalis website.

Well that's sneeky because it did say upgrade to 1mb uncapped, 2mb waqs capped it said. I'll have to look at that. Don't download much anyhow, but it connects all the time and stays on if I do.

Plusnet.
14.99 pm for 1meg speed, however soon to rise to 8mb same price.
I then pay £1.50 per gb over my 1gb cap.
as I use <6gb per month thats all I need.

However in April I shall be upgrading to 8mb premier with 30gb peak/230gb offpeak cap for £21.99

Suits me.

I'm on Wanadoo - I don't know what they've done to my account since they changed from Freeserve. I presume I'm on the same contract as before with Freeserve.

Anyway I'm changing as it's too expensive at 27.99 a month.
