Internet Explorer 7

Microsoft have released a new version of Internet Explorer and I must admit, it's better than Firefox in my opinion. Everything is crisp and clearer and it doesn't clog up the screen.

It's not final and in beta stage but not had any problems as yet!

i wouldnt use ie if it was the only internet browser its evil and full of virus's and spyware

I love it, and it is a LOT better than firefox with the built in features. I just can't get over how clear everything is for one.

i just cant stand it ie killed my last pc with all the crap it had hidden so i stay right away now ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww

It will never be as good as firefox, because of the way firfox is developed. ie7 is a reactive product not a pro active one. I'd never go back to just ie now. That said I have to have an ie because non of my banks are set up for firefox.

Is IE (whichever) the same as my AOL toolbar thing at the top of my screen?? The thing i use for websearches, "favourites" etc etc????
if so - why is IE, Firefox etc. any better than my AOL one?
if not - what is IE, Firefox etc., in relation to my computer needs

I have bog standard microsoft internet explorer, should I update, does it costa lot, is it worth the effort for no brainers like me? sorry to fire so many questions at you in one go :Banane37:

We were with AOL for about 10 years. Basically I got fed up to the back teeth with not getting certain emails, because AOL thought they were spam. AOL was imcompatible with just about every bit of software out there. Online shopping became a problem. I do a lot because we are out in the sticks (and I like spending money). You cannot buy online from either Tesco or Daily Mirror Garden (which is very good), they have stopped using AOL because of all it's massive security. It is totally OTT and tries to stop you doing just about everything, and is getting worse. We decided to ditch it, and contrary to reports, have not been bothered by it since. It is supposed to be a bitch to get off your computer, but we had no probs. Firefox and IE are very simple affairs beside AOL, which I also find boring. We now use Pipex, which just gives you Broadband connection. We are free to use whichever browser we want now. I use MSN Premium. Basically, it's all about freedom.

Forefox is sooo boring to look at and does not like handling large graphics much. I'm not at all impressed.
