Oh no, not the "Tommorrow People"... I still wont walk through a pair of goalposts etc... lol With todays consol games getting greater power & vastly improved graphics, it won't be too long before the shootemups look like your actually shooting a real person. Ghost Recon2 & the forthcoming Rainbow Six 4, both on the Xbox have excellent graphics & it's set to improve. However, even though the graphics have improved, the makers have reduced the amount of bloodshed seen. Halo2 is too much of a laugh to even think about the bloodshed & the beating of grunts does not make as much of a bloody mess now. As far as the game being a way of making money etc, yes it is, although it's an untapped subject, so there is a reason to make the game as it will be unique, there are so many shootemups & bouncy bouncies, findems & puzzles etc already. A good ol assasination is quite novel. :D

Matty will that mean next year the kids will be wanting a rifle with telescopic sights for Christmas plus a magic bullet? They should bring back the adventure games like the Hobbit,it took me three months to get in the barrel,ZX spectrum games fantastic. :)

When I was a kid we used to play "cops & robbers" where you'd rollplay the police chasing a bunch of criminals and pretend to kill each other. Then there was "cowboys and indians" where you'd rollplay cowboys and Red Indians, killing each other. Then we used to play "War" where half of us were Germans and the other half English, and we pretended to kill each other We had spud guns, that actually fired a projectile at a real human being rather than a computer screen. When you think about it, our generation should be way more screwed up than todays kids.

Quite right. Although the realism may seem greater in computer games, the actual motions are completely different. No longer do we actually weld toy guns, bits of wood etc, or chase after other kids & hold them prisoner etc. Now we just sit & get fat while having a bloodfest.. :D

Noooo, a complete load of rubbish - been gaming since I was 8 and I'm not a mass-murdered...yet :p Most of the games mentioned in the media have 18 certificates, and as such are for adults only! (as young as I think 18 is)
