Gone right on to my favourites. Could not be more proud to be British, but, I have to admit, it's taken a few knocks lately. Maybe I am more proud of what was British and Britain!.

I'm proud to be English and i've never put down 'British' on any application form or survey that i've ever filed. I'm as British as Coucillor Mohamed Iqbal ;)

I always put "British" on official documents, to show my (probably misguided) aligence(sp!) to the commonwealth in general. It makes me proud when I see people on tv in some far flung corner of the world saying how pleased they are to be a British citizen, especially when they are willing to take arms to defend that right. Some of these people have sacrificed a lot more than me defending our way of life and I'm not going to forget it.

No, give up on it as there was another site that was doing pretty well so don't want to compete as it costs money to advertise. Domains are only £3 or so so it's not expensive.

I've just updated my list as two have changed as they weren't taking off, M4F was advertised on lots of sites too thanks to webmasters and link exchanges. The new WC should do well.

Yes well, thats down to content, if it's mainly aimed at guys you'll get guys. but doesn't matter now. I know someone who has a site like m4f that has tens of thousands of members, and it was an msn community group so didn't cost her anything. She's ended up quite famous and has done numerous radio interviews.
The gr8b one is doing good, I linked to that one of my site.

They all could pay off if I put more time and effort into it, but getting people to post first to attract members is hard. I even tried myself.

Burnley Web is doing badly I think as member count is low compared to the population of the area but then I don't really advertise but it will be staying where it is. It's been up for over 2 years so people can find it if they want to just by typing Burnley in Google. We were bottom of 1st page but now we're 2nd of the 2nd page. We need to spend more time talking about Burnley as sites that are top are ones that focus on the keywords relating to Burnley.

GR8B should do well, just as long as others join and don't get involved with the raging political debates, lol.

Well it's very difficult to get members,and get them to post especially when you have rival sites in the same area I've got two sites like that now, well three but one rival hasn't even got a single member so I could say it doesn't count, but they could start getting members from people searching from my site. I seem to spend more time on burnley, accy and blackpool than my sites.
