You need a peer to peer downloading program like Azureus, then you open the torrent file (which contains all the info to tell it what & where to download it) to enable the download.

Most torrent sites will offer links to the programs.

P.S. watch it, your ISP may be stopping P2P software being used, some are on certain services.

I use AOL and can use p2p despite being on dial up.
