Anyone know of a program that will compress AVI files (vidio) so they can be uploaded to the net ?
I use a finepix s5000 and the Avi vidio eats memory so i need to compress them before uploading them ta

well quicktime uses these files. errrr, maybe a ziping program? i cant quite remember wether winace compresses....

Windows Moviemaker might work, I know it works for .wmv files and it's free. Dead easy to use as well. I'll just check to see if it will accept AVI's...

...yeah, works with AVI's too - and you can keep it as an AVI too if you must. You just choose the bitrate that is most suitable for your needs ie, dial-up, broadband, PC playback etc...Hope this helps.

Are you talking divx software here?
If so, i have loads of encoders decoders etc.
If your looking for something suitable for dial up users id say real media, but i hate that format and never use it myself.
