Smile Old Skool computers/games consoles.

What Computers and games consoles did you have as a kid? Were you posh with a BBC Micro, or one of the lads with a ZX Spectrum? Grandstand games console or Atari?

I shared a 16k (later upgraded to a whopping 48k!!) ZX Spectrum with my brother, and had loads of arguments about whose turn it was - usually ending up with one of us pulling the power lead out and having to wait another 5 minutes for the game to reload.

Elite was probably my favourite game when it finally came out for the Spectrum, and Tomahawk (Apache helicopter simulator).

We also got a currah speech synthasizer which we programmed to say all the swear words we could think of.

We started out with an Atari 600, then Atari 800XL and then onto a 286 and amiga 500. Those where the days! I had a 20meg hard drive that was bigger than a playstation!

The atari games system is the first one i got i think.
The tennis on there and the bok (breakout) games were my faves when i was a wee lad.

You had a whole 16K?

Wow, I did not have that much for ages.

I started out with a terminal unit that only had 1K ish & did very little lol
Then went down the ZX81>speccy>C64 route till getting an IBM 8080/XT then a 286/386/486 (still have the mobo) onwards & upwards.
