| Watched it on telly, glad the game went ahead for the dosh,as for Liverpool they paid the price for taking the mick,if we treat Bournmouth the same we will deserve to get beat. As my Dad said all SC need do was to pin the Liverpool team sheet up and say "well lads they think these are good enough to beat you!!!" You've got to give respect to the other team, and just to add bet ManUtd wo'nt take tonights game lightly now! :) :) :) |

| Liverpool are unlikely to face any disciplinary action from the Football Association despite having fielded a weakened line-up in their FA Cup third round defeat at Burnley. And this means Arsenal and Manchester United would, at least theoretically, be able to rest leading players in FA Cup fourth round ties - if United make it through at Exeter - just three days ahead of their Premiership clash at Highbury on 1 February. For although FA Cup rules include a clause requiring teams not to field weakened line-ups, the FA realise this would be hard to enforce due to the enlarged nature of first-team squads. Liverpool nevertheless pushed the rules to the maximum, with the likes of Zak Whitbread, John Welsh, Darren Potter and David Raven included in their side at Turf Moor on Tuesday night. Boss Rafa Benitez nevertheless paid the price of his attempts to rest players such as Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher as his makeshift side were reduced to 10 men and knocked out. The Liverpool manager defended his decision as he insisted: "We did the same thing in the Carling Cup and went to Tottenham with a similar line-up and won. "You cannot use the same players in all the games and we simply don't have the squad to play four competitions at the top level. "If I had used more senior players, we may have encountered some problems in the next Premiership match or in the Champions League." However, with a home tie against Bournemouth now awaiting Burnley in the next round, Benitez may yet have to cause to reflect the FA Cup was actually Liverpool's best chance of silverware this season. :yelrotflm  :yelrotflm |
