Sports People Are Overpaid!!!

What do you think about the obcene wages given to a minority of
(personalities), it can be from television films or sport. To simplify matters, first lets pick on good old Wayne Rooney (Manchester Urinal's
Banned centre Forward). Five million quid for five volumes of "Wayne
Rooney My Story", just what this hill billy from Toxteth has to offer god
only knows, but i'll try - my school reports, memoirs from the training
ground (Everton) the extended training I have to do in the Panacea
nightclub, finally fans it's good crack wack in de dwessing woom, did I get right mr Harper Collins, only another 70,000 words to go.

It amazes me when you see their homes! and their vast amount of usually flash possesions. I think if i was famousi wouldnt want to be a show off,:yawn: money must change you?

Perhaps they need to be overpaid to compensate for the personal attacks they get on message boards :-)

:sympathy: I would drearly love to be "slagged off" for a few misguided messages they accumulate on a message board. What is a message board? Overpaid underworked lame brained Mickey Mouse five

If somebody offered me silly money to do my job I would take it. At least most overpaid sportsman have some talent to be at the top of their sport, unlike the celebrities who get silly money for being brainless on a reality tv show.

:sympathy: Got to agree with you mate, the lad has a lot of talent pity is what he's going
to need, if he doesn't get back on track, publicity killed Gazza Roy Kean's busy re-building his reputation, as your probably aware both their biographies are or will be on the market shortly.
They should be a good read written with the benefit of hindsight.

The way I look at it, is yes, they are over paid no disputing that but thier careers at the top earning stupid amounts is short lived. Good on them, I say!

However much they get paid it never seems to be enough! Otherwise why would they want their mug on every product going, book deals and the like?

I'm sure it's only the people at the very top of the pile though, I'm not saying their all millionaires.

Well I was watching This Morning the other day ( yes I know you can stop laughing now!! ) there was the worlds most expensive property being shown on there, :yeahright: just pocket change at 75 million pound, I was quite amazed though when it was mentioned that not even the Beckham empire could not afford such a property.
