Oh, don't get me wrong, I would love to see it. I just don't believe it, not on the performances so far. Thus far they have been diabolical, got through more by luck than judgement.

I didn't watch. I am surprised to learn the score this morning. I hear Beckham's input in the second half was nil. On every game so far, I have been discusted with their performance. They will not go much further.

I don't think its all doom and gloom just yet. We have topped the group playing poor - better than playing great and going out at this stage.

We never beat Sweden so the draw was always on the cards.

Losing Owen is bad but he was not firing on all cylinders anyway. We can still get through to the semis at least

I thought England played better than the last two matches, which isn't saying much I know, but Sweden have always been a dodgy team for England.
I thought Sven should have given Wallcot a run out - what's he saving him for? or more to the point, why did he bring him if he's not going to play him?

I totaly agree with you Col! I think we can still win the thing! but it's going to be tough going and we need to improve big time! Our main problem is that we are now down to three strikers and it's now time for Sven to earn his big wages!!

I did not see the game but was told they played crap by everyone I spoke to. I was also told that Beckham did zip in the second half. He can never do a second half and do not think he should continue as captain.

i think becks did ok
think is quite a good captain BUT, for me, he is in the wrong position for a captain
I think John Terry should be captain as he can see up the field and see what i sgoing on - can marshall his troops
Becks can then concentrate out wide right, on getting quality crosses into the box
I think it is easy to knock becks, but who else in the world can put a cross in like him, or a 50 yard cross-field ball so accurately
Becks keeps his place EVERY TIME for me, he may not get as many goals as others, but his work-rate, crossing, passing and assists is second to none in our team
