It's the Grand national this weekend!!
Anyone got a tip for the Grand national?
I need all the help I can get!!!:D
I'm not one to have a flutter on the horses as a rule! but on this race I'll have a go to win some dough!
I never win!:(

Or do you think this race is for mugs?
Do you think the race is crule to the horses? I used to work with someone who went mad if you told her that you had a bet on the race!, as she hated all the horses getting hurt!

It's the only race I do bet on. Cruel, that's difficult. Horses love to run as a herd. They do enjoy it, there is no doubt, but horses are also pretty thick, so who's to say? Would they do it if they did not want to?

I don't bet on horses because I don't know enough about it! The national is even more of a shot in the dark than most horse races.

Usually just enter a sweepstake for it...now there's an idea...wayney?

I don't really have a problem re: the cruelty aspect...not sure if they really need to shoot horses if they break their leg though...more like the owner can't be bothered/deems it too expensive to get it fixed and retire the horse.

i know.....it seems to be more cruel to have them put down..i suppose its the time it takes to heal properly.. it would drain the owners resources ,and so it would not be profitable..... it s cheaper to buy a new horse......I.M.H.O. :confused?:

I've got a list of the horses running tomorrow! I've picked four nags that I'll put 50p each way on! So here are my no hope'rs!!
Eurotreck! ( I've no idea why I picked it!)
Le Roi Miguel! ( I like san miguel so it could be lucky!!)
Ollie Magern! (Ollie I picked this after you luv!!)
Shotgun Willy! (I hope he's as fast as a bullet!!)
