why is what digital, Colonol?????

Find digital piccies boring meself. I prefer the adventure of using half a camera, then taking another year to use the rest of the film. Then get excited cos you have forgotten what was on the film only to be ultimately disappointed with the results.
HMMMMMM
Sounds like life really

I was on about the title of this forum subject. I'm with you on the "What's on this film?" issue.:)

I always use the throwaway ones. I get them when they do the buy one get one free deals. If I lose one it's only a few quid and they take realy good snaps.

unless it's one of them expensive yet naff ones they sell at LOUIS TOUSARDS in Blackpool. It cost me a poorly octopus (six quid) to buy one and the piccies were terrible.

A must see by the way folks, Lois Tousards is THAT BAD (in my opinion) that it is FANTASTIC

To answer the question that was asked:-

When we had the previous Burnley Web there was a lot of members who were interested in digital photography, so the thread was put back on again.
If you would like a section just for non-digital photography I am sure Neal would provide one if you asked him.

I have about a dozen unprocessed films just waiting for me to bother taking them to the developers. From past Scouting events to family holidays etc.

One day i'll get a decent digital camera so I can see them instantly.

Perhaps the title of the forum can be changed to just Photography to cover all methods of taking pics inc video cameras rather than have several little used forums.

I don't want them to change it on my account, just thought I'd see if anyone was interested...not looking good.

I've renamed it, sorry about that. As Nessie says, on the old forum we had a few members into digital photography. This now fits all forms. nice pics in the gallery by the way! ;)

Now that I have sussed out how to post on the relevent thread (I thought there was just GAME and GEN CHAT?!?) I understand what the original thread question means. I still prefer the old fashioned method though, digital is too clean and easy. That said, it makes for great pictures on websites and stuff so - good on it

I use digital occasionally, but can't bring myself to part with a lot of money (if you want SLR type features) for something that the technology is being superceeded so quickly. Just hope no more manufacturers don't pull out of making film:(
Oh, my camcorder is digital - but cine film is hard to get hold of nowadays, and I keep breaking projectors

I much prefer film to digital, especially black and white. I used to have my own darkroom where i lived before. I used to make a living out of photography, weddings and such, then along came the accursed camcorder and everybody wanted videos and not wedding albums. So that put an end to that:( : So if anybody has any photographic problems i may be able to help as i do have formal quals in it, namely City & Guilds.
