Good news & Bad news

Man went to the doctor complaining of a stomache ache. "What can be wrong?" asked the man ; "Oh, it could be anything from simple indigestion to some catastrophic intestinal disorder" replied the doctor, "I will run some tests and telephone the results to you in a few days time -- then we will take it from there".

The doctor called the man a couple of days later and said: "I have good news and bad news -- which do you want first?" "Well" said the man, "give me the good news first" "OK" said the doctor, "You have a devastating and incurable disease and you only have 24 hours to live!"

"Blimey" said the man, "what is the bad news?!"

"I forgot to call you with the test results yesterday" replied the doctor.
