Default Tis Me,TMP!

Well you will have gathered from the name that there is footballing blood in my veins! I have supported The Clarets for as long as I can remember from the early 60s to present day. Although born&bred in the Rossendale Valley,Burnley is an important town to me and is where I spent most of my mispent youth in the 70s messing about in 'The Hop' and going to matches!

I have also formed by own chatclub&messageboard called 'Burnley Banter' .Its all things Burnley for people who are all things Burnley with topics related to the Town, including its people, culture and history with a healthy tribute to the 'Clarets' chucked in. Lots of photographs and nostalgia. Come and check it out!

:iloveyou:

I am now based in East Anglia having lived 20 odd years in Surrey so I feel a bit isolated. My mum still lives in Waterfoot though so I do get chance to come back up North now and again! :)

Merry Xmas to you all!

:santa:

Thanks for all your 'welcomes' lads&lasses! Cleveleys gets a mention a few times, funnily enough in the 60s/70s we used to visit an Uncle&Aunt of mine! He was a crusty owd bugger who used to hire out Deckchairs I think at Fleetwood whilst my aunt was a joy& used to do all those Aunty things with the cooking! I used to love going as a kid as it meant tram rides and tram spotting!

If you have'nt been to Blackpool TMP for a bit it might seem a bit seedy to you now.
The paper and the council are doing an anti sleaze campaign to try and clean the town up for family's,they wanted to make a a new lap dancing venue which most locals do'nt want. It's mostly stag and hen parties, drink yourself into next week with shots of booze before four in the afternoon.Best remember it as you did in your youth Phil.
