OK, lets see if I got this right?

Her name is Elaine (last name unknown?) & she lives in a house on Warwick Drive, Padiham.
You are over 43, so I assume that she is of a similar age.

You are stuck in the channel islands at the moment and would like to get in touch with her to tell her you are sorry & how much you love her.

She is neither responding to any other form of contact, be it mobile, text messages, emails or direct phone calls. Letters to her do not appear to get delivered (why?).
This makes it sound very dubious that there is any reasonable chance of a stranger popping round & telling her making any difference.

You have tried all the above several times havn't you?

All the luvvy duvvy stuff aside, it seems to be a reasonable request for help.

Problem is that I don't know how to resolve this without someone going round there.
Half this lot don't actually live in Burnley any more & those that do I can't think of anyone that's in Padiham.

Still, if you stick with us we may be able to bottom it out if someone from Padiham comes on.

Now then Ian if you think she is worth it and we don't know her from Adam,
the best advice I can give is go for it! write to her and tell her that you'll be coming to visit her when you get the time off,turn up with a nice box of choc's or pick n mix,bottle of wine(Iceland do some offers) a bunch of flowers
and say "do you love me?" and if she say's bogoff then you've tried your best!!! ;) :)

I'm from Padiham, but there's no chance I'm going to a strangers house and telling her that someone's asked via a message board to tell her he loves her etc. I'd hazard a guess that the woman's ignoring him for a reason and it's perhaps best left alone.

Thanks for your help everyone, but I think her silence says it all, shame she desided after 3 years just as we were to be togather permantly this time, not just a few days here and there
