Sloe Gin

I really want to make some sloe gin this year, but I am having trouble locating Blackthorn Hedges in Lancashire.
Can anyone help?

I used to do my mums friends hair sometime s at night ,One of them used to bring sloe gin after hairdressing all day the last thing i wanted to do, was doing more hair. She used to say "oh she wont mind doing yours" !without asking me. Must say i wasnt to pleased, but the sloe gin after two glasses they knew would soften me up!

Somebody used to make it for two of the customers at the club I worked in. Had a taste one night must say it's not for me!!!

It is rather sweet and an unusual taste but nice with soda . I dont drink alcohol these days , and dont miss it.:kitty::kitty::kitty::kitty:

Im on Warfarin , so darent risk it!Its strange getting used to taking tablets but just glad to be feeling better. May go back to work in the new year?
