Sinus Trouble

Does anybody else suffer with this? Since the weather has changed I've had loads of trouble with my sinuses. Sinutab and facial steaming usually shifts it but no joy this time. Does anybody have any other remedies I could try?

I'm on inhalers and nasal spray from the doctor for my assorted upper respiratory regions. It's like a chemists shop on my bedside cabinet.

My Granny used to recommend fenugreek seeds. You soak a teaspoon of them in boiling water, strain the liquid and let it cool a bit before drinking it. Maybe I should go back to trying that again.

Theres a definate cold/flu bug going around i've been full of a cold after having the flu, i found a couple of drops of pure Eucalyptus oil [from aromatherapy section] on a tissue & breathe it in, definately helped both nasal & chest congestion.

It's the megavolume snoring that gets me. He reckons he hasn't slept a wink all night but I'm the one who had several million decibels in my ears like a demented pneumatic drill so that by 3am I gave up and went and camped out on the settee!

I have to take antihistamines all year round. I have allergic asthma and rhinitis. I use nasal spray and prescribed inhalers all the time.

Friars balsalm- from the chemist is a good one you put it in hot water then inhale the steam i I have suffered alot with sinusitus and used a spray too from the chemist as soon as i feel it coming on.

When i get a cold i have olbas oil on my pillow and carry round tissues with some on. Also have one of them inhalers - olbas oil one of them as well. Lemsip at night before i go to bed. When in bed 2 duvets on me (i have a single in the back room and knick that) and try and sweat it out of me. Ask Spug - he nursed me when he was down in September - i started coming down with it 2 days after he came down. Found out something though - he hates the smell of olbas oil!!!

I find that Neti nasal washing has stopped sinus pain.
I have a specially shaped squeezy plastic bottle which holds half a pint of water with half a teaspoon of rock salt dissolved in it.
I helps clear post nasal drip too so I dont cough as much on waking

I love the smell of olbas oil!
