your biggest ever disater in new job?

I have been working for two days helping my brother getting a new fast food place started in Stackshead near Bacup, the place used to be a pub and has been empty since April last year, brother was told if he could get it trading this week he could avoid having planning permission as the licence for hot food didnt run out till today, so in a week we have transformed a shell of a disused building into an up and running take away shop. Myself and a freind have been printing menus shopping, learning how to operate a pizza oven while surrounded by electricians, plumbers carpet fitters, painters and decoraters, we opened at 6pm tonight and didnt have a customer till 9-55, 5 mins before we shut. We burned his pizza so we tried to cut the burned bits off and ended up with a pizza shaped like a 50p, put to many fries in at once so half were overcooked and the rest were raw, we only charged him a £1 and would have given him them for free, but by law had to sell something or we would not have been deemed to have traded, dont know if we will see that poor chap again, but wondered if anyone else had cocked up so badly on their first day at work?:)

Not my first day,but was my first week.
I was driving for a timberyard in blackburn and i was reversing down a driveway (a steep one) and all of a sudden i felt the rear left hand side drop.I stopped and got out to have a look and what had i done?......I had gone over the wall separating next door and the wheel was hanging over the wall.
There was the customers materials on the back of the truck so we unloaded all his stuff,and all the other delieveries i had on.We got some bricks and managed to wedge them under the wheel so i could get a run at the drive forwards.
I managed to get the van out...........Just.
Then i had to reload my truck and go to the next drop,luckily i didnt do any damage and kept it quiet from the guys at work.

That was a nightmare for me!!

I also burnt the kitchen down in Cafe Claret at the turf, I was feeding about twenty kids at a birthday party when all the electric wiring set afire and we had to evacuate the building and get the fire brigade! The kids loved it though, we had to send one of the lads out to get them a Mc Dondalds and the firemen made a big fuss of the kids, I got a new kitchen to. (and a lot of stick I might add);)

My brothers both worked at the Cala gran caravan park,we had a van there and I used to go on my days off,they were very short staffed one night,and I was roped in to do the glass collecting in the very busy main bar,
the price of drinks on the camp was expensive and it was Scots fortnight!
I got into heated arguements with the people who would'nt let me take their
glasses,they were bringing in their own booze! I spent hours getting ranted at about the cost of drinks,getting into empty glass tug of war, with the result of me getting called a "big fat soft git" by the barstaff for not getting the glasses off an old Scottish ladys table after three bouts!!
I'll never do that job again! :yelrotflm
