Money savers

Do you have tips to reuse things that would normally be thrown away in the rubbish bins?
I save plastic pop bottles, with the thin part at the top cut off they make mini greenhouses to put over new plants in the garden.

At Xmas I'm always saving the ties used to keep toys in the display boxes, they last all year for tieing up buttie bags etc.

Thanks Matty, hadn't thought of that one.
I use old carrier bags as liners for rubbish bins. Instead of throwing paper bags out of vacs away you can open the bottom and empty them, staple the bottom back up and reuse.
