Recycle your old stuff.

Hello, have you got an old sofa, bed, bycycle or something else that you want to get rid of, yet it is in perfectly good condition?

Perhaps you wouldn't mind freely giving it to someone else that will come & collect it.

Join a local group and simply send a mail to the Yahoo server. This email is then sent to all the members who then have the oppurtunity to say "yes I'll reuse that" & come collect it.
Saving you the hassle & costs of having to get rid of it.

There is a group in Hyndburn which covers enough areas around here

I have seen many posts on the Manchester based one, offering things from old monitors, fish tanks, beds, coffee tables to pregnancy kits - all for free.

If your looking for an old lawnmower, shed or some wierd object that just cannot be found then this is the place to ask.
(well, apart from here that is)

I think it's a great idea Matty,when you think of the things that we throw away,around here we have a scheam where old furniture is collected and
refurbished and anyone who is on a low income can have it at a modest charge,

I'm in the Manchester & Hyndburn ones, I was going to setup a Pendle one that covers BUrnley too, but it's so close to the Hyndburn one & it's not fair to steal the potential users from that. So I'd suggest joining that ione if your interested & hopefully we may get some stuff recycled, heaven knows Burnley BC are naff enough at it :D

So far I have seen offered things like, a modern conservatory, a garage, digital camera, rocking horses, babies prams, microwave ovens, cd's, tickets to london etc...

I have 2 good 17" monitors from it too.

Many wanted ads too, but I tend to ignore those.

I managed to get rid of a kids wardrobe that we no longer wanted & the hamster cage.
Saved me a trip to the council tip.
