Question The return of Dr.Who!!

It's back on our screens tonight, yes Dr,Who is back!!! are you glad to see the timelord back? Or is it a waste of money? Do you have a fav doctor Who?
or is it a case of who cares?
Well I used to like it but Bonnie Langford and Sylvester Macoy did my head in and it made me hate the programme!
The Darleks and the Cybermen were the nastiest things in the galaxy!
When they show the old repeats on UK gold I showed Jasey and he was less than impressed, the wobbly sets, not all that very special effects, and even said the evil monster thingy was"just some bloke in a suit!" I got to say he did have a point, the Robots of death don't look all that deadly now! :) Tom Baker was my fav Doctor with his big scarf and the dog k9,so I'll give the new show a try,it's on BBC1 7pm.
So are you a fan? or should he be flung into a blackhole?

I saw the new one, thought it was quite good in that it kept the spirit of the show.
Tom Baker was my favourite too, although K9 was too much of a smart ****! As a kid, it WAS Saturday night, tea time, Dr Who, scarey ending! Glad to see they haven't changed the end music too much, it's classic.

You could be right Ollie about it being a boy thing, but do we have any female fans on here? I watched the new show last night as well Col, and I quite enjoyed it,
are there any shows you would like to be brought back? when they tried to bring back Crossroads it did'nt work, but Randle and Hopkirk did quite well.

There is no way i would miss Ant and Deck. I did'nt bother to record it either. I used to watch it when i was a kid, used to scare me to death back then.Mind you it was the early 60s.

I really enjoyed the first episode. Thought it was very much in the old style format and theme. The manequins coming to life was just the right amount of scaryness for family viewing although saying that i used to have a recurring dream about such a thing when i was about 8!!!
Im looking forward to the next episode..and im a girl lol!!! Wont be taping ant n dec either lol!!!

Quality Telly
Always wondered how the Daleks intended to take over the galaxy when all you needed to do was run down 2 or 3 steps then turn and mock them hehehe
Flying hey??? Ingenious little buggers
As for Sylvester McCoy Swinster - THAT's why nobody knew! Him and Bonny Soddin Langford - set Dr.Who back aeons in my book
Both Tom Baker and John Pertwee were my faves, although I was more aware of the Dr. in Tom Baker's day - and he liked Jelly Babies
AND - what the heck is a Dalek Suit? Cyberman yes, but Dalek - scaaaarey

so who is going to be Who? Lets name some people who you would like as doctor who! I'm up for Ann Widicome! She could be the first women Dr,Who, she'd scare the cybermen and Darleks no messin! Any better ideas folks?
