| That name rings a bell, wherabouts was he situated? I had a Thunderpole, they were & still are a damn good antenna. Plonked on the tallest scaffolding pole I could find, up in the hills of Loveclough. I eventually got a beam aerial & would often rotate it to increase/decrease my signal, while using a multitude of matching & amplifiers etc to really vary my signal, while winding people up from around here, saying I voz in Germany Ya. Excellent fun when the conditions were right. I did some rig doctoring for many but eventually gave up the whole affair after too many nasty experiences due to CB. I keep threatening to put on back in the car, but I wonder if I would be wasting my time, I only have the original CEPT27 FM ones now. |
