We are now conditioned to jump at every 'beep'!!

I now have a Nokia N95 which is great for the internet. One more failsafe!!

I have one 'beeping' contact who can be a bit of a pain of I don't immediately answer him. These past few days he has been ringing me almost nonstop or sending me messages asking for information about something I can't tell him because it hasn't been sorted out yet! I took to ignoring the phone when his name came up as caller - then I got text messages "Why are you ignoring me?"

I wouldn't want to go that far! Too much hassle to have to inform other people when so many people know this number. I've transported this number with me when moving house too, had it for over 30 years. Actually there are times when he does genuinely need me and I am more than willing to help but there's a limit!

Oh it was all going so smoothly this changeover lark wasn't it?

I think I got too excited too soon. T'internet phone, the one my daughter pays £8.50 a month for, so she can talk to her friend in France for hours on end, looked like it was working OK - but then trying to use it and call somebody we couldn't hear them and they couldn't hear us! Can't fathom out why though because nothing is disconnected or not as it should be. It looks OK, and even the thingy that shows you the volume of the voice at either end is registering as going up and down when people speak - just no actual sound!

I have enough to do this week without any more faffing about!
