i saw a programme one day last week and they were goin on about the cost of keeping dogs apparently it costs on average £20 k in a dogs life for the upkeep of it (food vets bills etc)....so you must earn one hell of a wage matey too keep 5 dogs and the rest .....

i personally have two dogs ...a border collie and a whippet x ....the whippet being around 14 years old and still going strong the lil bugga still thinks he's a puppy and gives the collie the run around :)

and i suppose you could name the RAT after any member of the current burnley squad because they are all vermin .... :yelrotflm

ooooooooopppss below the belt ... ;)

i agree (blackburn raver)cost of animals are not cheap but are cheaper if you have them insured though all my dogs are insured through farmers union insurance just under £615 a year (which is good if you phone around and get quotes) that amount is for all 5 dogs and the insurance is quick to pay out too without a quabble....the chinchillas arent expensive nor are the birds or fish ect...i am self employed and i put the money into our animals (one of lifes little luxeries)....we get what we put into them so im happy.......why not put a pic of your dogs on the picture board for people to see.......i for one like to look at peoples pets

the insurance sounds good considering they are such an expensive breed of dog...it's very reasonable ....do you breed them ? i presume that would bring in a great deal of profit ...they must fetch around £500 a puppy eh ?

here's my babies ...although not the greatest photo ...i have more but not uploaded too comp as yet .....il sort out a gallery soon ....so long as neil doesnt delete the galleries again

nice dogs mate if you lookat my pics my collie is very simular looking to yours
i am waiting to hip-score and eye test 1 more of the huskies before we breed if all goes well then hey presto......the dark husky in my picture on this site is an import and a champion 3 times at france 3 times spain 1 time hungary he is worth £3500 k.c registered and highly sort after for breeding because of the background/championships ect...so even if and when we breed the money really isnt there (though £500-£750 sounds a lot)nothing compaired to what you spend during the year....lol

my son bought me a parrot last xmas and it drove me bloody mad, it screamed all the time till you let it out of the cage, then it would fly round pooing all over and chewed all my picture frames, so i asked my son if i could sell it and got it a good home for £40 (plus posh cage) then my son told me he had paid £250 for it! Drat!
