Default Two funerals in one week :(

It seems like we have done nothing but go to funerals in recent months and now we've got two in the same week. On Monday was the funeral of a lovely lady who has been a friend for years. My girls have known her all their lives. So many memories. So many old friends gathered together to pay their last respects and say goodbye. She had a long and full life and a very peaceful death. Tomorrow another friend who we haven't known quite so long and whose death is a blessed release from the pain and suffering she has been through this past year and more with cancer treatment. It's a relief that her suffering is over but she wasn't very old and leaves 2 children who will miss her terribly. :(

I don't know really what I'm trying to say here except that I have been up and down a roller coaster of mixed emotions. Not long ago another young man died suddenly and unexpectedly leaving a young widow whose mother is also terminally ill. Another friend of ours is in intensive care. It seems like all around us people are suffering and grieving.

I empathise. At 12 I watched my father die of cancer. At 17, my mother died very suddenly, 10 months later my beloved Nan.

My heart goes out to all left behind, not a place I envy, but one I understand.

It seems that every time you pick the paper up some one you know has passed on. there are a few lads I went to school with are no longer with us. I think the sadest one for me was the parents of the lass from Ossy who was killed in the London Bombing, have both died within 3 months of each other, I went to school with both John and Barbara Targett and I worked with both of them, John at Shopfitters Lancashire Ltd in Ossy and Barbara in my political days when she was secretary for the Conservatie Ass in Hyndburn. In my book the bombers claimed another couple of lives, because I don' think either of them got over their daughters death, a very, very sad case

Unhappy Re: Two funerals in one week :(

I had one of those week ends where we were both sorting out family and friends photographs? I was of a mind to start an album, family and friends lost to the medical professions inabilty to come up with a solution to treat cancer, dementia, senility and pure neglect whilst being looked after? in hospital.

I do not donate to these charities that claim to be 'on the verge of a solution' they have had millions of pounds of peoples hard earned money, they promise a solution? we both attended numerous funerals of friends and family who believed that they would get better.

Please accept my personal sympathy and condolences for your sad loss.

I would love to say that I have a web site where all of your questions can be answered? sadly we are all still reliant on the snake oil man? cure all for a dollar?
