As your probably be aware ,the Riverdance ferry is washed up at Cleveleys.Yesterday there were hundreds of packets of chocolate biscuits washed up on the sands,i know they were wet and unedible ,but what is the law about things thats washed up....

I think your supposed to report anything you take and hope nobody claims it unless a salvage contractor has been assigned to the job and then you can't take anything - or something like that.
Was funny when I saw the item about the biscuits on the news, I thought of you GC! Have you been to have a look at the beached vessel?

What sort of biscuits are they? and its a pity they arent eatable! The Riverdance will probably take a while for them to empty as it looks such a large vessel. When a ship was washed up in Cornwall not so long after the scavages took wood ( which was the cargo). No doubt the wood did end up all over the place being well used for different repair jobs! I Think it would be to risky to take any ? But it is a shame things are wasted and the biscuits may make a treat for the donkeys or other animals maybe?
