The most famous person I met was . . .?

Have you ever met anybody really famous, and if so, who, where and when???
To start you off:
1, Whilst working the bars at Cala Gran in 1990, I said "super smashing great" to Big Jim Bowen - he thought it was dead funny pmsl
2, Whilst in the gift shop at the Vatican City (as you do), I only went and bumped into John Kettley's Geography teacher - ohhhh yes - and apparently he went on about Burnley Footy Club then, too

i was working on a refurbishment in islington london, just off upper street, we were all stood outside the local pup at lunchtime when hugh scully came to the local post office to post his mail. a very pleasant chap!. also on the same street salman ruchdie lived, it was just as the satanic verses episode was happening, he had a policeman outside the property 24 hours a day. we were on speaking terms with the copper :stop: we saw him that much. we drank in the earl of essex most of the time, the landlord was called bill, so was his son if anyone knows the area.

my mum once showed me up in "boots" cos John McCardle was there buying suncream (ex brookside now merseybeat)...she went up to him to tell him how fantastic he was...lol, i was so embarressed!!!
Claim to fame was that when my grandma n grandad used to have a pub in Preston (the ship inn..well known "pink pub"), Les Dawson was a friend of my grandads and they went gambling in Blackpool a few times....sad but i was impressed as i loved les dawson!
Saw Ralph Schumacher three years ago at Benalmadena marina on Michaels yacht..needless to say i showed myself up by getting the camera out!!

david dunn and brett ormerod ( i grew up with them) also met jakki degg the page 3 girl and sammy winward (katie in emerdale) .jack walker and kenny dalglish ..i also met ross king once @ pontins he was dong the sat morning show called 8.15 from manchester if you remeber that ..and ive met the chuckle brothers @ blackpool tower....infact i could go on for hours especially with all the footballers ive met even from burnley (although you cant really call them famous ...lol....sorry ) :yelrotflm :lol:

saw him (dominic brunt) at the service station near burnley general. Most friendly ive been with someone well known is with Steve Halliwell (zak dingle)..who was in the talbot one night with friends having a drink, he was sat next to us and we just got chatting til some idiots came in hasseling him so he left.Nice bloke though and really genuine.

Was at a car sale in Blackburn , and Iwas very near to having my first child ,saw Pat Pheonix she came across to talk to me. She was lovely and made me laugh! She said something like "nay lass tha wont be long afore childs ere and tha better get ome quick" She was Elsie Tanner to those who dont know! I like Eastenders better than Corrie now though! Oh I met Paul Gettys butlers dad on a northern train and he showed me photos of the Getty mansion in a delapidated state this was about twelve years ago, Iwas heading for Manchester at that time with a bad cold and had a small bottle of Bells Whisky in my bag so topped up the old guys hip flask up for him hence the photos! :yelrotflm

Saw Big Bruce Forsythe AND Mr. Cheap as Chips earlier this year outside the Tower after filming Strictly Come Dancing - quality.
The lad out of Eastenders was a prat though (Alfie Moon's bro) - there was about twenty people stood outside watching the "stars" get in their cars (Hmmm, I'm a poet, and I didn't know it hehehehe), and MOON Boy, hand over face, legged it to his car having none of it! Ya sad bugger - how famous do you actually think you are. Everyone else was great though, and stopped for piccies and autographs. AND I got to say hi to Ellery Hanley from Wigan (Pre-Warriors)

Fine bunch of people they sound but the two Superstars I've met well wlill blow you away!
1 The one and only Sid Little in the local chipshop. Top bloke and he lives near the posh school at Rossall.(Lucky him meeting up with Eddie Large!) :)

2 Bertie Bee. We shook" hands "(do they have them?) after a game in the now closed down Cafe Claret. :)
