| Just reading these posts and wondering why you haven't mentioned the most famous person you have ever met!!!... Yes, he might be a bit of a git but having dinner with one of the the husband of one of the world's most famous women deserves a mention I think! The most famous person I have ever met on the other hand is Jimmy Saville! Oh I did see Posh and Becks in a bar in the Trafford Centre, didn't meet them though. |

| Let's see now; Lemmy from Motorhead after a gig at Manchester Apollo. Jack Bruce from 60s rock band Cream, backstage at Colne Muni. Screaming Lord Such. I was in a band called the Filth Patrol that supported him when he played at the Thomson Centre. I got to share a bottle of wine with the guy and had quite a lengthy conversation. Our bass player went on to play Paddy in Emmerdale! Ian Gillan from Deep Purple, backstage at King Georges Hall, Blackburn. My mate's dad was in partnership with the promoter of the gig so he got a couple of backstage passes. The Dogs D'amour (ex chart band) supported them, again with the Filth Patrol. The Glitter Band. Supported them at Keithly Castle with The Three Amigos. Berni Marsden, Mick Moody and Neil Murry from Whitesnake (plus Doogie White from Rainbow, Jimmy Copply from the Paul Rodgers Band, Mick Stineway from Magnum) when Slack Babbath supported M3 Classic Whitesnake at the Mechanics. Zack Dingle from Emmerdale. He used to go drinking in the Carlton. |
