| Most of my interests are quite well documented on here lol, there's the photography for a start. Although I've not done much recently as the poor light this time of year puts me off setting out on an 'expedition' to photograph something I might have in mind. Here's a short article I wrote about one aspect I'm interested in: Toy/Junk Camera Article - by me! I enjoy exploring the countryside around Lancashire and Yorkshire, which I usually have a camera of some description with me to capture: Panoramio - Photos by ColWKurtz Flickr: Photos from Col.Kurtz I'm restoring a car at the moment, I was inspired to do this by a mate who restored one of his cars. I've been driving about in a fairly boring car for ages and looked into getting something a bit sportier as an interest. After some research I found the best car for my needs (and budget) was a Mk1 MR2. They're not silly-fast, but fun to drive due to their mid-engine layout according to people who have had them. They also have a good, strong 1600 twin cam engine that will rev to 7.5k. Other things that attracted me were the styling, (you either love the shape or hate it), I'm in the former camp. Pop-up lights, T-bar roof on some models and leather seats as an option on some models (if you can find them in good condition - they tend to get worn over the years). sorry....I was getting into far too much detail there!! It needs a thread of it's own I think! Well, in brief...I got one eventually, drove it for a while, found some faults with it so decided to take it off the road and sort it all out. It's now in about a million bits, having a lot of work done on it...and still needing a lot before I get it to the condition I want it. Having said that, I'm really enjoying doing it (even in the middle of winter in an unheated garage), and I'm learning a lot as I go along. Another interest of mine is making little films, which I combine with my other hobbies. I hope to make a few films like this when my car is presentable YouTube - Turbines

| Love the video Col, especially the bit where the car stops and the wind turbines keep turning. Apart from using the PC for chat rooms etc I also use it for making little animated graphics/emoticons and currently I'm working with flash to build a website but having to try to forget things I'm used to doing in other animation programs because this is so different. It's a challenge though. I also like to read and I'm a sudoku addict. I know it's probably not at all relaxing but I just can't go to sleep at night if I don't do a sudoku and it's usually the thing I do when I first wake up! I enjoy photography too and intermittent bits of crafts like making corn dollies. There are lots of things I plan to do but haven't got the time.

| Thanks Willow, that's one of my favourites! We were intending to shoot a lot more footage but never got round to it before he took the car off the road. So I ended up spinning out the footage we had - forced me to think up the effects I used, if we'd had more shots I might not have thought of it.

| Going on the various forums of which I am a member of, outside of that I like reading various books Novels, biography's, fact and fiction. I'm esp keen on music (listening too) not playing. Not as keen on the cinema these days as I used to be, but just now and again I might go. I'm also a keen walker, going up in the hills walking for miles at a time, for hours on end. |
