Smile Pirate goods.

I'ts worng I know, but in the past I've been naughty and bought pirate goods.you know that bargin Rolex for $5 in Turkey.
Once bought a watch ex KGB (so they said) for £5 in Russia only snag is that it glows very brightly at night and could be Radioactive!
If you know it's fake well hard luck if it turns out to be crap cos fat chance you'll get your money back!
Well someone I know told me his sad story of a pirate dvd. He got hold of a copy of Thunderbirds which had just come out at the pictures. The film was shot in cam vision!(must have been a bloke with a camcorder stood next to the projectionist) All the way through you could hear him pottering about and at one stage hear him open a packet of crisps and hear him eating them. Also a man is clearly seen getting out of a seat and come back later after a wee break.
He told me the films rubbish as well (but nothing to do with the pirates)
So anyone else bought a "bargin"? was it ok or did you get stung? ;)

I'm not into films or music ( that's why you don't see me answering in those threads :D ) But I have bought football tops and then found they shrunk and lost colour in the wash.
But people wouldn't buy pirate goods if the real ones were more realistically priced

You're right and each time a club changes the strip the kids want a new one, it costs a fortune to keep up to date.

ive had some excellent films...dont tell anyone...nowadays if theres anything i want to see i watch it on the net. Dvds are far too expensive in this country as is music, games etc...if more realistic prices were charged then more would be sold and pirates would be gone.

Thanks for the offer Korando. I am more a stingray fan and not into thunderbirds. Now if you get hold of Troy then I may be in touch . :)

I once saw a knock off copy of 'Indecent proposal', the funny thing was that on some of the shots the microphones/stands/edges of the set were visible - sometimes plainly obvious! Must have been pilfered before they had CGI'd the offending items out - either that or someone had assembled the film out of bad takes lol.

With football tops and the like it's not as if British jobs are at stake if people buy copies - they are made in sweatshops anyway - maybe the odd advertising exec - my heart bleeds! They look ridiculous on fat blokes anyway...
