Ok im on my soap box.I live in Rosegrove area,where we have had our share of big groups of kids haning about,causing annoyence.The police eventually did a sweep of the area,fine.But when they asked some of the kids where they lived,not local.There parents had brought them from Bacup,Acci ect.My son hangs round with the local lads,four of them in fact,but its them who's taking the blame,having there names taken.Last Wednesday an officer called at my house,defenses up like you do,he explaned my son had been seen three times with this so called gang.Hadn't been seen doing anything wrong,but would i sign a peice of paper saying for 12monthes he'd behave.If he had been unruley fine,but they couldn't say he had.These kids have nothing to do,no where to go.The kids who live here are good kids.People should look beyond there noses to find the real culprites.

What ever happened to youth clubs, they don't seem to exist anymore.
Get the kids involved in the community in some way, maybe then we would not have all these problems with boredom and the kids playing up.

Think they went first when the torys were in Government,councill cut backs ect.

Burnley Boys club is still going strong, it's in a lot bigger premises than when I was a kid.

I've plonked a thread in the Nightlife forum asking if there are any places to go or things to do for youngsters in the town. If people know any clubs etc please feel free to tell us about them.

all is very quiet round this area it is uncanny ,,,maybe it has something to do with the off licence being closed i dont know !!!..i dont know why it closed but i heard that it is oppening again for easter ,erm i would rather it stay closed myself
