| You could try and leave it downstairs. Oooh! You don't know cats do you. You cannot make them do anything. If you leave her/him downstairs, she will come up and scratch at your bedroom door and make ond God awful racket. Best let her/him do whatever she/he wants. Much easier in the long run.

| my cats always slept under the duvet in our bed, at the bottom every night when we went to sleep. At the top with their heads on the pillow every morning when we woke up. Never had less than two at a time. One time we had six but two slept with the dog. I would just go with the flow, a cat is always boss |

| It is going to be much easier to continue with what the kitten usually does. Our cat comes to bed just after us, she snuggles down at the bottom of the bed, and rarely moves until morning when she jumps off the bed to let me know she is ready to go out. If I ignore this, she will jump on and off the bed until I get the message. Cats are definitley the bosses. |

| Very cruel? No. Very likely? No. Cats will not expect to be told what to do. Cats will expect to tell you what to do and if you want a quiet life just go with the flow. We have one cat who sleeps in my youngest daughter's room and still sleeps there this week even though my daughter is away camping. The other cat comes into our bedroom until we go to sleep and then takes himself off for most of the night only to come back again in the morning just as we get up. If he finds the door open when he wants to go through it he either attempts to demolish the door, or if we have fallen asleep and he wants to go out he attempts to demolish us.

| You tried shoving a cat in anything and getting the lid/door shut before it jumps out?
