This is a discussion on help required re. cat sitting within the General Chat forums, part of the General category; fleas do not like garlic......I give my cats odourless garlic in their food.....and have had no problems with fleas....

| Re: help required re. cat sitting it all stemmed from hearing that the first flea circuses over here were run by italians and they used to let their fleas feed on their blood....but they had to make sure that they hadn't had anything with garlic in for a few days(a bit hard when you consider italian food)or the flea would die when it drank the blood....my cats have all been having a few drops of garlic oil(odourless) from the capsules that are sold for humans....and it does appear to be true......fleas leave them alone. |

| Re: help required re. cat sitting Every day.......I take out one garlic pearl to give to hubby (no, not for fleas...just for his general health) and one garlic pearl to squeeze into the food for both of the cats. |
