Default I've heard it all now....!

An 18 year old went to court and asked the judge for a custodial sentence so that he could finish a course to be a fitness trainer that he had started when he was last in prison. Something wrong here isn't there?

I can't remember now....i'll go and have a look.
But I'm thinking of committing petty larceny so that I can go and do an English degree....well, it beats paying tuition fees.
With my luck I'd probably get Community service- street sweeping or something along those lines...not much good for degree purposes is it?

It was at Reading Crown Court...and he was up in front of the beak for handling stolen goods. Whilst on remand he had signed up for an NVQ course on Physical Fitness......anyway the judge granted his request and sentenced him to 9 months.

Sorry handling stolen goods isn't the worst thing people can do these day.

It depends if he knew he was actually handling stolen goods.

The story is vague.

Yes, he knew he was handling stolen goods and pleaded guilty to the charge.

Do you suppose they do any computing courses or web design? I could do with a bit of a brush up.

Yeah, been there....done that......got Further Education Teaching cert..... assessor certificate......NVQ level 4 in Management......too old to be roped in for the degree in nursing....does it make for better nurses?
I don't think so.....it just makes for nurses who think they are too qualified to wipe a bottom/bath a patient.

That is exactly what he did.....and he pleaded with the judge to let him go back to Jail just so that he could finish his course.......and the comment attributed to the judge was 'Well at least you are doing something constructive with your time'
The moral is....go to jail to get a good education....and free!
