I too was very upset when Diana died! I cant understand why he had an affair with Camilla when he was with Diana as she was so beautiful?I lit a very large candle in my front window in memory of her at that time and alot of people saw it and were moved by it. I will watch the wedding and think its more money spent on them and wonder about the wasted presents they get that are never used and should be raffled off if they dont use them for comic relief or a worth while cause!

That would be difficult, as his ears would take up most of the paper! Did you know that the Royals have their newspapers ironed for them by their staff? and are dont allow eye contact with them? How real is that !and i have noticed the Queen rarely takes her gloves off when shaking hands with anyone! :(

I know both cases look similar but you can't really compare Charles with Edward.
To start with, Wallis was American. Can you imagine a Yank on the throne? Plus the whole affair was probably an excuse to remove Edward as King because he was a Nazi sympathiser.
Charles on the other hand had had a relationship with Camilla before he even met Diana, who was probably chosen for him to deliver a heir to the throne. I don't think he ever stopped loving Camilla though. You only had to look at Charles and Diana to see they were as different as chalk and cheese and that the marrage probably wouldn't last long under any circumstance. Meanwhile, Camilla had married someone else who she obviously didn't love as much as she loved Charles, and so eventually, these two childhood sweethearts finally got back together and they both seem to be very happy. Who can knock that? People were happy for Diana when she seemed to be getting her life back together before she was tragically killed in that car accident, so why can't they be happy for Charlie. If it was anyone else, you'd all be saying "Good for him" but because he's heir to the throne everyone thinks that they own a piece of him and can tell him he can't spend the rest of his life with the woman he loves and has always loved.

*Blimy that was a bit soppy for me wasn't it!*
Camilla's still an old boot though!
*Ahh, that's better* :D

he certainly sees her through rose coloured glasses.!!
i suppose adultery and the like has happened all down the centuries ,only then it was all hushed up and if you spoke out of turn you got your head chopped off or you ended up in the tower, blimey my head would have gone long ago ,but i still dont like what they are doing and i wont be buying any souveniers

Strange that no one ever mentions the string of affairs that Diana had after her split from Charles, she seemed to have a different man on her arm every week, rugby players, soldiers, foreign businessmen, yet Charles gets back together with his chidhood sweetheart and is so devoted to her that he's risking everything to marry the woman, and he get's all this flack for it.

Traditionally the Prince of Wales has been a bit of a party animal with affairs left right and centre, one of the most notorious being Prince Albert. Compaired to most of the past Prince of Wales, Charles has been absolute gentleman. Remember, you saw no kiss and tell stories or other gossip from Charles exept in self defence after Diana did countless interviews airing her dirty laundry.

but if charles had not been playing away with camilla right from the word go ,diana would never have looked at another man ,cpb should never have been let anywhere near c let alone in his company ,diana was out on a limb and i suppose the old addage IF YOU CANT BEAT EM JOIN EM ,kicked in .then she went completely off the rails .how could she compete with the rotvieler ???i am squarely in diana,s corner ...
