If I were rich I'd buy a better house in Lancashire on the coast and another house in Tunisia probably get things for the kids that would be useful for them and then try to do something productive if there was any left.

Sorry wouldn't buy a house, much prefer living on the cut. I would buy a bigger top of the range barge.
Second I would buy the "Abraham Ormerod" building in Tod, it was the old Victorian hospital. The Dreaded Harrold Shipman worked there. I would restore it and turn it into a community arts centre and gallery. I would have a few studios upstairs which I would rent out to cover running costs, set up a trust and give it to the Town.

Now if we're thinking really big I would see if I could buy a chunk of Accrington around the area at the bottom of Oak Street and revamp it - widening the river bed and making the slopes gentler and landscaped. Then I would grass over most of it, keep the trees that are there, and convert the old warehouse/factories to something crafty. Anybody already occupying the area would have to be willing to sell before I could do all that though but I know it could be made really nice. Maybe some people would like to stay and just have their buildings improved and adapt to the new look of the area. There is such potential round there and it's hidden away and ignored.

I would buy some kind of residence with a view that overlooked the sea. or a lake...water of some description......prefereably built high up so that i could look down on it......an old lighthouse would be perfect.

I don't really want to be rich. I just want to be able to make both ends meet....and occasionally be able to tie a bow. Does that make sense?
Money isn't the answer to everything...it might seem like it is, but there are things in life that are far more precious that money can't buy.

Never won a tenner!
But if I won big ... a lovely house, somewhere tucked away but still withing easy reach of a pub, and a holiday home abroad, maybe Spain somewhere. I would still want to work as I love my job, but I might be tempted to go part time...

Or I might just pack up and clear off to Las Vegas and live the dream...

I would buy a nice house in its own grounds....somewhere on its own.

I would buy a nice villa for getting away.

I would make sure m family were nice and comfortable ( some nice pillows or something) :hidewall:

And I would make sure my children's futures were secure money wise.

I'd buy a great big house and build a big wall around it.

Would have to emigrate to New Zealand. Plenty of open space fishing peace quiet and tranquility.

I'd buy a property abroad for the family holiday each year. Probably in Cyprus next door to my Dad
