yes he was jailed only for 8 weeks mel , and i know he shouldnt of had the dog in the first place but he will go through hell for the rest of his life knowing that his actions and his dog killed his niece

That dog had previously bitten a member of the family and yet he claimed the police had told him he could keep it. I somehow can't help finding that hard to believe. If the dog was already known to bite he must have realised it was a danger to his niece.
The sentence does not seem long enough to me.

I also think it is up to the parents to keep their children away from vicious animals.
My In-Laws have a Alsation dog and at Christmas it nipped my little boy on his head for no apparent reason. They didn't put the dog out and said " oh he must have stood on his paw or something" :yell:................that was the last time my sons stepped foot in that house. I'm sorry but if they can't control their dog.....then my sons goes no-where near there house. |
