The uncle of little Ellie Lawrence who's dog savaged her to death has been jailed today....................yes jailed..............what how long for??

yes he was jailed only for 8 weeks mel , and i know he shouldnt of had the dog in the first place but he will go through hell for the rest of his life knowing that his actions and his dog killed his niece

Yes I know what your saying, but that little girl has lost her WHOLE life and her parents have lost their daughter, all because he had a BANNED dog.:noidea:

I love animals and I am a dog lover......but I'm sorry my children come before anyone or anything on this earth and If I had to destroy my dog.....then so be it.

of course kids come first, i aint saying he wasnt to blame, just pointing out that yes he only did get 8 weeks but a life sentance in knowing what he did

That dog had previously bitten a member of the family and yet he claimed the police had told him he could keep it. I somehow can't help finding that hard to believe. If the dog was already known to bite he must have realised it was a danger to his niece.

The sentence does not seem long enough to me.

I also think it is up to the parents to keep their children away from vicious animals.

My In-Laws have a Alsation dog and at Christmas it nipped my little boy on his head for no apparent reason. They didn't put the dog out and said " oh he must have stood on his paw or something" :yell:................that was the last time my sons stepped foot in that house. I'm sorry but if they can't control their dog.....then my sons goes no-where near there house.

Lauren has a respect for dogs that keeps her away even if she knows they are safe. You cant take chances with dogs and kids and you are right to keep the kids away slinks.

Exactly spugg........they never come to my house...therefor they don't get to see their grand children any more, but better that than a scarred for life child or worse
