| Fred Dibnah's "Age of steam"...only just started it but his biography was a good read. One I've just finished was "Spitfire Ace", about the Battle of Britain. I prefer non-fiction to stories but I do read the odd classic novel.

| Unusually for me I've been reading novels recently. I usually prefer biographies or realistic things. My husband reads a lot of 'who dunnits' or 'what did they do and how did they do its' and has recommended The Coffin Dancer but I've only read the opening chapter so far. It had a little twist to it which I wasn't expecting and he says it does that a lot. I can't remember the name of the last one I read (my memory is terrible these days) but I do remember being put off by the main character being a detective in London called Red. People in London just aren't called Red - New York or Chicago maybe, but not London.

| The last book I read was Labrynth, Kate Mosse. I had read some bad reports about it, but I found it very good, and thought it was just as good as The Da Vinci code. For some strange reason I'm tending to read a lot of historical or religous books at the moment... |

| I have just finished reading 'Lovely Bones'......I can't think who the author was now....and I can't look because I have lent the book to a friend. It was a really good book, and I heartily recommend it. I'm not going to tell you what it is about because it might put you off it. |
