Is the so-called fat gene a genuine reason for people being so overweight or is it just a good excuse?

I thought they'd recently found the gene that makes people more prone to putting on weight? You still need to stuff the food in your gob to make the fat in the first place though!

There could be many reasons for it and eating would be in some cases low on the list. Me I blame additives preservities and other chemicals we are exposed to. genes go "wonky" when triggered by something.

I actually do have something wonky and I'm still undergoing tests. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it. My feet and legs have swollen a lot today and are extremely uncomfortable. I'll be delighted to find a solution.

I've was skinny all my life, until I hit about 40. Then it's started being a problem.
