No TV Licence Fee Petition

It's an online petition to abolish the TV Licence:

Last year i'm sure I paid £101, now they are asking for £130+ off me! It's an absolute joke when I pay for NTL. Surely I can ask NTL to block the BBC channels to my box?

They can't justify £130+ per year, expecially when they broadcast to other countries and want to set up services for other countries. Will they make them people pay?

Idont think 2 years is too long to wait for some of the rubbish programmes today..Iwish we had some of the Ausie programmes back,like prisoner cell block h.etc....

I pay mine direct debit that way i dont have to find £136 lump sum once a year.

Yes but you then have a debt, Iwould rather pay it in one go .then forget about it till next year,,,Dont forget the council tax and the water bills are due soon ,,,and thats worrying enough

Pay monthly

You'll pay for your first licence by Direct Debit in equal monthly payments within the first six months.

If you don't already have a licence, or your current licence has less than six months to run, you'll make fewer but larger payments.

After this, you can start paying towards your next licence in 12 monthly instalments of around £11 per month (six payments before it begins and six after). These payments will always add up to the same amount as the annual licence fee.

Got the above from the tv licence website. It put it clearer than waht i was trying to reply!!! By the way you can pay for it quarterly etc as well.

The one thing that would eliminate the need for any licence fees would be to do as everyone else does, and use advertising to finance it's programmes, I think the Governments need to control the output would then be put at risk. In my opinion the BBC should have to prove you use only this service to penalise you. Any other channels that benefit from this fee should be self financing or shut down.

Tell me about it .there were only 2 places in Cleveleys where you could pay it ,and by the way ,its cash only..no debit cards

good petition to have all the BBC do is show repeats like you said you should have the option to have BBC.
