Our pc is in the main living room where we all are.

If I'm on the pc and hubby is watching the tv then we chat. He can also come on the pc if he wants.......which he doesn't lol. But he can see what I'm up to.

Also if the kids are on the pc then we are able to see what they are doing on it.

It's all down to trust.

Well Fiona has her laptop in the front room, and I now have my computer in the dining room. I used to be stuck upstairs out of the way, which was nice at times but not the ideal situation to be in.

Being downstairs, even though i'm stuck on the computer just the same amount of time, the family can see and talk to me and I can do the same. She can aslo check up on me, ha ha!

As our child grows up and uses the computer, we can both keep our eyes on her to make sure she is okay.

Yes, our's are in the front room. I can see emails popping up and spend an awful lot of time on the computer.

one of the main reasons we have ours in the living room is so we can (a) still be a family ..without a pc taking over our lives and (b) when my daughter is doing her homework we are all around to advise .....and at same time i can keep an eye on her internet activities...
