Watched any good films lately?

Last night i watched the 1948 version of Oliver Twist,,It was just as good as the one with Ron Moody..Alec Guinness was realy spooky as Fagin...:thumbsup:

I love alot of old films ,especially the Ealing Comedy,s. Doris Day films too!Good cowboys with indians in. Lassie films and Little Women i allways cry at! I dont tend to go to the cinema often but like going. The last time i went was to see Calendar girls!:Banane45:

Mona Lisa, rerun on tv this week, Bob Hoskins is a class act, the music was superb this film had it all for your's truly. Produced and Directed to perfection.

Without doubt, the best film I have seen lately is Pan's Labyrinth.

In my opinion, along with a lot of film critics, the greatest film of 2006 - truly amazing.

Also, I watched Hot Fuzz last night - which is pretty funny. If you liked Shaun of the Dead, then you will like this too.

Amazing Grace

For Beverly and me it was a truly great movie. William Wilberforce has always been one of my great heroes. In my opinion this movie is a magnificent tribute to his indomitable spirit and humanity.

What a marvelous movie in every respect -- I haven't witnessed audience applause at the conclusion of a film in a long time.

Of course with such consummate actors as Ioan Gruffudd , Albert Finney, Michael Gambon and Benedict Cumberbatch, et al in leading roles the presentation was superb.

Stay for the final credits -- the bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace is heart rending.

Do you mean Hetty Wainwright,,,most of those ,were shot round Burnley Darwin ,Nelson etc
