new advert on tv

has anybody seen the new advert on tv regarding the speed limit ??? its very hard hitting it made me shudder when i saw it , slightly creepy in a way

Yeah, gruesome. I'd like to see some road safety adverts aimed at kids as well, we had Tufty, Green cross man, Alvin Stardust and Kevin Keegan! Don't see any nowadays - maybe that's why some kids think it's clever to run, walk, ride scooters/bikes in front of cars oblivious to traffic. Yes, speed kills - but so does riding a bike with no lights at a car in the dark.

I quite agree, bring back the Green Cross code man.

A bit more education about the dangers of the road might save a lot more deaths.

What I would like to see, is an advert on the merits of indicating - how piggin hard is it to move that little stick up and down hmmmmm? And gues what - indicate, and people know which soddin direction your goin!!!
If it were up to me, you'd get points on yer licence for not indicating (he trails off muttering to himself)

Don't get me started Digsy, I indicate if there are cars around or not - there could be ped hedz who need to know which way I intend to go, instead of relying on 6th sense.

i totally agree ...i hate it myself its annoying especially when your waiting to pull out of a junction and they turn into the same one without indicating and you could have been away down the road :cursing:

No idea what the kid was called,but the nemesis was playing with matches and Mr,fiddler the local perve.
Some of them public info films were good,a very creepy one about playing near riverbanks and had Donald Plesance in it,Patunea and hubby in the countryside,and glass on the beach.

I remember those, I saw a DVD of all that kind of stuff in a shop last year, but when I went back they'd all gone.
What about Dave in the learn to swim ad, "It's just not my scene man" lol They must have been effective as I can remember some of them almost word for word.
