I'm a republican and I'm not over fond of the Royal family anyway. The thing is he comes across as being very dim and I just feel sorry for the poor sods that he will lead in the future when he is an officer, just makes you think that these are our betters!

| now i like the monachy , look what a rebel princess anne was when she was harry,s age ,quote NAFF ORF ,etc, she is now one of the most respected royals so maybe with time he will show a different front !

Let's face it, a Royal who likes a drink, the odd fag and a game of footie is bound to be popular with the commoners, but that doesn't mean he can get away with wearing the Nazi swastica, even if it was just for a laugh. It's all to do with who he is. Any of us could probably get away with it, Freddie Starr even made it part of his act, but he's supposed to be outrageous and we don't have people with cameras following us around, and if we did, no newspaper would buy the pictures for 10 grand. But for a member of the Royal Family to wear a Nazi swastica, it's an insult to a lot of people, especially the Jews, people who were invaded during the war and relatives of those who died fighting for our freedom. It really was a pretty stupid thing to do, especially when he knows that the worlds press are keeping an eye on him. Think about it, this kid belongs to our first family, who's job it is to represent our country, set an example to others and act with a bit of decorum. For that, they get a privelidged lifestyle, fame, money, influence over others, ect. It's no wonder people get a bit upset by Harry's actions. It doesn't help that the Royal Family had to change their name during WW1 because their own surname was too German, or the fact that Edward (the abdicator) was a Nazi sympathiser, or that Princess Michael of Kent's dad was an SS officer, or that Prince Phillip had a brother in law who was an SS colonel.

Infact, all four of Prince Philips sisters married German aristocrats, and his family ties to the Nazis were so strong that when he married the then Princess Elizabeth in 1947, he was allowed to invite only two guests in order to avoid the scandle of pews full of Nazi sympathisers on the bridegrooms side of Westminster Abbey. It has been claimed that if Harry were to dress like this in Germany, he would be arrested. Pretty ironic when you realise that his own family probably has more German blood in them than English. It has also been suggested that if he was a normal soldier, he would be thrown out of Sandhurst for what he did, but apparently, (and obviously because of who he is) Sandhurst are still ready to welcome him with open arms.

I think he made a mistake - but I do think that, as usual, The Sun has blown it all out of proportion. He really should have known better, and his brother is partly to blame too, but you'd think he'd worn the uniform to a public event from the uproar this has caused! Reckon he oculd do with a clip round th'earhole from his Dad though, lol!

What about the old soldiers who served in the War too, who must have been upset by this, yes and the Jews who suffered the worst of the Holocaust! Well said Quazi , hope i dont appear patronizing! The Royal,s were never on the front line and in my view the cotton wool wrapping them all up should come off any time now!
