Default Make things shine

Next time you boil potatoes in salted water strain it off into a jug. Put small pieces of silverware into the water and leave for about sixty minutes. Take out and wash in soapy water and the shine will be brilliant.

If you have copper bottomed pans that have become discoloured, sprinkle vinegar all over the bottom and rub in salt to make a paste. Again leave about sixty minutes and wash in soapy water to have them looking like new.

Salt smeared on the burned botom of a pan and left for the same time will make it easy to clean.
