Children singing carols late at night.

This is Wayney not Digsy cos I can't log him out.
We had a knock on the front door at 9.35 tonight,it was a little lad could have been no more than seven years old singing carols. I gave him a bit of change but told him he should'nt be out at that time on his own,he said he had a friend and pointed down the street to a kid the same age. Is it me or should the parents be upset that their kids are out so late?

Its a bloody shame for kids today, its probably the parents that sent him out so they can get a can of strong lager or their drugs, and would probably be the ones putting in for compo if anything happened to him. You did the right thing.

I don't think these parents give a damn about what time their kids are out as long as they are not under their feet. As for being upset, it's the parents responsibility to make sure their kids are safe indoors at such a time, if anything happened to them the parents should be held partly responsible - they are not fit to have children if they can't look after them at that age. I feel sorry for these kids, they don't stand a chance and will be the criminals/lowlifes of the future.

yes me being a coward ,wondering who was at the door at that time sent wayney,i never heard any singing they probably just knocked onthe door,,makes you wonder !

Where i live you dont see very young kids out when it's dark unless it's halloween singing, but that tends to be just after tea.
